When children are equipped to practice independent reading in their leisure time, the results are expanded vocabularies, enhanced writing skills, and a boost in confidence! However, not every child has access to reading materials at home. Through a partnership with Scholastic, the Broken Arrow Public Schools Foundation is working to bridge this gap.
Read to Succeed is a new program of the Broken Arrow Public Schools Foundation which gives new, age-appropriate books to every second-grader in the district.
Fundraising for this exciting new program is already underway. Book selections will be made by reading specialists and the books will be distributed to each elementary site during the spring semester.
