BAPS Foundation Sells Out For Another Record Breaking Fundraiser
BBQ & Bingo raised over $94,000 for Broken Arrow schools
(Broken Arrow, OK, July, 2025) Broken Arrow Public Schools Foundation’s focus is on raising funds to support the Broken Arrow school district. This June, they sold out their BBQ & Bingo fundraiser and again raised the highest amount in a single fundraiser since the Foundation’s incorporation, 33 years ago.
“This year, our BBQ & Bingo event sold out and grossed over $94,000. This is the most money that the BAPS Foundation has raised in a single event since we were founded in 1992,” says Charla Lane, BAPS Foundation Vice President and Event Chairperson. “We had a great committee and amazing support from the school district. All of the donated live auction prizes, raffle prizes, and gift cards helped us exceed our goal of $85,000.”
BAPS Foundation’s BBQ & Bingo fundraiser is a casual night out, held at The Property Event Center. Sponsors enjoy an evening of Bingo, prizes, Rib Crib and cocktails, to support Broken Arrow schools.
On top of selling out, the Foundation has doubled the number of Friends of the Foundation sponsors. The two $10,000 sponsors will share the top billing and VIP treatment at the BAPSF fundraisers this school year. WRA Architecture returned for a second year and Cherokee
Nation Businesses joined after just one year of sponsoring BAPS Foundation. At the event their tables were flanked on the front row by Platinum sponsors Flintco Construction and Solid Roofing.
BAPS Superintendent Chuck Perry kicked off the evening with a few words about the school district and Foundation’s partnership in supporting Broken Arrow students. Followed by Teacher of the Year Amanda Hundley expressing her appreciation of the support BAPS Foundation has provided to her teaching career.
Football coach Travis Hill stepped up as a Bingo caller, taking the opportunity to share his appreciation for the support by the community. After guests yelled, “Bingo!,” they chose their prize from a variety of Yeti cups that were uniquely designed for BA supporters. Three rounds of bingo were sponsored by local businesses with a basket of prizes.
BAPS Foundation Board President, Jeni Dolan, shared, “After three years, we have sold out this location! More than 30 Companies from across Broken Arrow were represented as sponsors. We had a great crowd – everyone seemed engaged and pleased to support our school community.”
